Clearwing

Widgets made of nothing at all

Truly transparent iPhone widgets, with the fix nobody else shipped: no app name printed beneath them. A clock, a countdown, a daily line, a photo, floating on your wallpaper. Free, private, no ads.

Coming to the App Store Support

iPhone, iOS 18 or later.

21 widgets, 15 looks each

Invisible spacer

Pure wallpaper. Space your icons out and let the Home Screen breathe.

Four clocks

Digital, a minimal analog dial, a word clock that says half past nine, and a binary clock in glowing bits.

Calendar & dates

Day & Time, quiet serif dates, the weekday written large, a month grid with today circled, this week's strip, the week number.

Counting

Countdown with a progress ring, Days Since for streaks, Year and Day Progress, a Year Grid with one dot per day.

Daily line & moon

One calm sentence a day, written on-device by Apple Intelligence when available. Tonight's moon phase, computed locally.

Photo, battery, monogram

A memory in a soft frame, a thin battery ring, your initials engraved on thin air. Every widget in fifteen looks, from Pixel to Couture to Chalk.

No name under your widgets

iOS prints the app's name beneath every Home Screen widget. The only native way to hide it is switching your whole Home Screen to large icons. Clearwing's own name is an invisible character, so its widgets carry no label and your small icons stay exactly as they are. That's the whole point of us.

Set up in a minute

Swipe to an empty Home Screen page and take a screenshot.

Import it into Clearwing. The app recreates your wallpaper pixel-perfectly behind every widget slot, entirely on your device.

Add widgets and set each one's position. Done: they disappear into the wallpaper.

Private by architecture

  • Clearwing contains zero networking code. Nothing can leave your iPhone.
  • No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. Privacy label: Data Not Collected.
  • Your wallpaper and photos stay in the app's private container.
  • Delete the app and every trace is gone.
